Prof. Mohammed Ismail had his early education in St. John’s High School and Wardlaw Junior College, Bellary, Karnataka. Then he pursued his B.E from Gulbarga University, M.Tech in Communication Systems from VTU, Belgaum, and Ph.D from VMU was awarded in 2010. He has 20 plus years of full time teaching experience in premier Engineering colleges in Bangalore and Hyderabad, including 7 years in Mekelle University, Ethiopia, a research centric university with 1200th position in international ranking. He is awarded with Professorship by the Mekelle University Board upon recommendations by the Mekelle University Senate, and is the first Indian to be awarded by the University in its nearly 30 year history.
He is a Ph.D research supervisor for two students, one at Mekelle University-Addis Ababa- Hawk University of Applied Science and Arts, Germany, and the other is at Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Ethiopia. He has guided 40 plus M.Tech(Research) students in diverse Antenna Technologies, and has published more than 20 technical papers in peer reviewed Journals including IEEE Transaction on Antenna and Propagation. Additionally, he has published articles related to ICT integration in teaching pedagogy and its impact on Learning and Employability. He is a reviewer for several SCIE/Scopus indexed peer reviewed Journals viz. International Journal of Microwave and Wireless technologies, International Journal of Communication Systems, Automotive and Vehicle Technology and Systems, Journals of Computing, International Journal of R.F and Microwave Computer Aided Engineering.
