Projects Laboratory

This Laboratory enables IV year I and II Semester ECE students to perform the various projects in the area of Embedded systems design, Digital Signal Processing, Communication Systems as well as VLSI.  This laboratory also provide facility to II and III year B.Tech and M.Tech students for doing their interested projects in various fields which are related to Electronics and Communication engineering field  Major facilities/equipments: ARM Cortex M0 & M3 mbed boards, ARM 11 trainer kits, IoT trainer kits, MatLab, etc along with Dell Optiplex 755N Series Systems connected through Virtualization..

Communication Laboratory
  • This laboratory enables II year II Semester, III year ISemester ECE students to perform the various experiments in the area of analog/digital communication
  • Major facilities/equipments: Basic communication trainer kits, CRO, Function Generator.
IC / PDC Laboratory
  • This laboratory enables II year II Semester, III year I Semester ECE students to perform the various experiments in the area of IC based analog circuits as well as digital circuits.

Simulation Lab
  • This Laboratory enables II year II Semester, III year I Semester, III year II Semester IV year I Semester ECE students to perform the various experiments in the area of Analog Communication, Electronic Circuit Analysis, Digital System Design & Digital IC Circuits, Digital Signal Processing as well as VLSI.
  • Major facilities/equipments: Dell Optiplex 755N Series Systems connected through Virtualization.
Electronic Devices and Circuits Laboratory-I
  • This laboratory enables III year I Semester ECE and III year II Semester ECE students to perform the various experiments in the area of Electronic Circuits.

    Major Equipment: Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes, DC Power supplies, Function Generators, Digital Electronic Trainer Kits

Microwave & Optical Communications Laboratory
  • This Laboratory enables IV year I Semester ECE students to perform the various experiments in the area of Microwave Engineering, Optical Communication and Antenna analysis.

     
Microprocessors and Microcontrollers Laboratory
  • This laboratory enables III year II Semester ECE, and IV year I Semester EEE students to perform the various experiments in the area of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers and their interfacing. It enables fundamental programming skills in assembly language and builds foundation for designing, analyzing and implementing engineering programming problems.

    Major facilities/equipments:

Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Control Systems Lab

Control systems lab is well equipped with all academic experiments and having cathode ray oscilloscopes (CRO’s), Regulated power supplies, voltage and current measuring devices etc. Through hands on experiment with real components & equipments, students can gain practical exposure. The students are developing prototype projects using our CS, M&I equipments by using CRO, Functions generator etc.

Electrical Circuits & Measurements Lab
  • The Electrical Circuits and Measurements Lab is concerned with the basic knowledge of electrical circuit analysis and the measurements.
Electrical Machines Lab
  • The Electrical Machines lab is equipped with all types of AC and DC machines and Transformers mainly covered in the B.Tech. Curriculum. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience in using various DC motors and Generators, AC motors and Alternators, Transformers, Starters etc.
Electrical Simulation Lab
  • Electrical Simulation lab is well equipped with computers with licensed version of MATLAB and or CAD and proper power supplies to all computers through inverters. Apart from regular curriculum use, the software packages are also useful for the students and staff who are doing Research.
Power Electronics Lab
  • The Power Electronics Lab is equipped with 1-phase and 3-phase converters Choppers, Regulator power supply, Inverters which are mainly covered in the B.Tech Curriculum. Through hands on experiment with real components & equipments, students can gain practical exposure. The students are developing prototype projects using our Power Electronics equipments by testing using CRO, DSO, Functions generator etc.

Mechanical Engineering

Metallurgy Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to provide the student a good environment to understand some very important concepts and applications of metallurgy and material science. These fundamentals will be used to find the metallographic structure of the given metal and alloy and how to perform different kinds of heat treatment processes like annealing etc..

Heat Transfer Lab

Experimental work in heat transfer lab covering: Measurement of thermal conductivity, Natural and forced convection, Radiation, and Heat exchangers.

Machine Tools Lab

The Machine Tools Lab experiments provides a comprehensive knowledge and insight into various aspects of machining. The different types of experiments that provide necessary information regarding the machining processes like turning, milling, drilling, grinding, shaping etc.

Engineering Workshop

Workshop practice is a study and practice of the scientific principles underlying the art of manufacture – an important subject when one considers that it is the skill in manufacturing activity that makes a better standard of living.

Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Machinery Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to study the operating characteristics of hydraulic machines and flow devices. The major equipment focuses on the study of flow measuring devices like Orifice meter, Venturimeter, turbine flow meter and the performance test on hydraulic machines like centrifugal pump, Reciprocating pump, Petrol Wheel, Francis turbine are also conducted.

CAD / CAM Lab

The course presents the elements of solid modeling, creation of parts of increasing complexity and the assembly of parts to form a final design, along with mechanism simulation. The operation and programming of CNC machines is covered.

Production Technology Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to impart hands-on practical exposure on primary manufacturing processes such as casting, joining, forming, etc & their relevance in current manufacturing industry and understanding the various processing methods of plastics.

Thermal Engineering Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to provide the student a good environment to understand some very important concepts and applications in the field of IC engines and refrigeration. These fundamentals will be used to link the phenomenological processes taking place in the engine for issues of power generation, emissions, fuel economy and fuel composition effects on engine operation and mechanical limitations of obtaining ideal performance.

Mechanics of Solids Lab

MOS Lab is used to determine the properties of different materials and to facilitate material selection as per the property requirements.

Metrology Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to provide the student a good environment to understand some very important concepts of the techniques implemented in measuring the dimensions, tolerances and the surface properties of components.

Instrumentation Lab

The objective of the instrumentation laboratory is to provide the knowledge of variability involved in any measurements and to train the students in the calibration and use of different measuring instruments.
