The Dept of CSE is established to cater the oning demands of software professionals. It is unique in exposing the students to both software and hardware aspects and it also aims at satisfying the thirst for knowledge of students in order to face global challenges with the affluent sources provided by the institution.
The course curriculum is best crafted to keep abreast of the capricious field of technology. The students are encouraged to visit industries to have real time experience of industrial environment. Lectures are conducted on recent trends on technology by the technocrats from industries.
The teaching methodology at Sasi concentrates on bridging theory and practice, including a wide variety of hardware and software technologies and their applications. The methodology is designed to equip students with the fundamental understanding and practical skills needed by the potential leaders of a demanding profession. It is training in logical thought and expression, and can lead to employment in many different fields.
The laboratory has a large network of up-to-date workstations for practical work, and the network is accessible from all systems.

“I have been working for Infosys Technologies Ltd as Software Engineer for the past 1 year 7 months. But I never felt that I was new to this work or something strange like rocket science is here. Its only because I am the product of SASI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING.

The passion, leadership, attitude and mostly the discipline for which I was appreciated by managers, are imbibed in me from the days of my college. When I compare myself with my friends in various other colleges, I feel I was a step ahead now.
In this short time of exposure to industry, I achieved a few awards for my work and attitude. The first one is the BEST TRAINEE AWARD for scaling up very fast on a new technology and the second one is the BEST PERFORMER award for the month of Oct-2007 for handling critical modules of the project assigned.
I say that these achievements in this short span were possible only because I was from SITE. Hope all the students of SITE achieve greater heights in their career and lead the nation to the top of the world.” |
